Windsor’s largest and most popular Christmas Carol Service, lit only by the light of 1,000s of candles and this year with the Band of the Welsh Guards.
This traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols is all conducted in candlelight, with popular family carols and the story of the Nativity told from bible excerpts. It is Holy Trinity’s most popular service and for many starts the Season of Christmas. Arrive early and listen to members of the Band of the Welsh Guards play popular Christmas music.
The smell of beeswax candles and pine Christmas trees are gradually replaced with wafts of mulled wine served at the end of service; the stunning Victorian German crib figures and the atmosphere will put you in a festive spirit as the story of the Nativity is told.
Last year the church was packed, so be certain to arrive in plenty of time.
If you wish to bring little ones, why not come to our new family inclusive and contemporary carol service on Saturday 22nd December at 5pm, in which all children take an active role. See our separate Facebook page event for further details.
