CHRISTMAS FAYRE & OFFICIAL SWITCH ON OF THE TOWNS CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Ferryhill Town Council would like to invite residents to attend Ferryhills Annual Christmas Fayre on Friday 30th November 2018. The Fayre will commence at 2.00pm with a Craft Fayre in St. Lukes Parish Centre and a Christmas Market in the Market Place Car Park.
A procession, involving children from local Primary Schools, will leave St. Lukes Church at 4.15pm. The procession will be led by real life Festive Donkeys and will make its way to the Market Street Car Park for Carol Singing at 4.30pm, accompanied by Ferryhill Town Band. Any adults and children wishing to take part in the procession and Carol Singing are asked to meet at St. Lukes Church at 4.00pm.
The official switch on of the Towns Christmas lights will follow at 5.00pm. The honour of switching on the Towns lights this year will fall to pupils from Dean Bank Primary School accompanied by the Town Mayor.
The event this year will also comprise of show rides in the Market Place, Donkey Rides, Santas Grotto and a Winter Wonderland with Disney characters, refreshments and face painting upstairs in the Town Hall. The Methodist Church will also be remaining open until 7.00pm to enable residents to pop along and view the Festival of Trees, organised by ApproachToo.
At 7.00pm event proceedings will move to The Manor House, where there will be a screening of a Christmas Film and hot buffet with a drink for local children. This will be provided FREE of charge for the first 50 children. FREE Tickets must be obtained from Ferryhill Town Hall (maximum of 2 per household). A charge of 3.50 will be made on the night for children without a ticket. Food will also be provided for adults including pulled pork sandwiches at a cost of 3.50 and ham broth with crusty bread at a cost of 3.00. Hot chocolate, mulled wine and other festive alcoholic treats will also be available for sale.

4.30 5.00pm – Carol Singing in Market Place accompanied by Ferryhill Town Band
5.00pm – Official switch on of the Towns Christmas Lights by children from
Dean Bank Primary School accompanied by the Town Mayor
5.00pm 6.00pm – Festive Donkey Rides in Chapel Terrace
5.00pm 6.30pm – Winter Wonderland with Disney Characters, refreshments and face
painting upstairs in the Town Hall – organised in partnership with
Ferryhill Business & Enterprise College (FBEC)
7.00pm 9.00pm – Proceedings move to The Manor House for Christmas Film & Hot
Buffet for local children (First 50 children eat FREE Tickets
available from Ferryhill Town Hall). Pork sandwiches, ham broth
with crusty bread, hot chocolate, mulled wine and other festive
alcoholic treats available for adults.
